On the 30th of May, 2017, 3 students from our 2nd cohort scooped a business incubation prize for their solution and innovation, the “Health Data Harvester.” The team of 3 comprisin gof Jacqueline Mutumba, Obed Mongeni and Aidah Bakubuza joined three other teams in the 2nd cycle of business incubation program UpAccelerate hosted at Outbox Hub, supported by UNFPA and UKAID.
The Health Data Harvester is a mobile solution that’s going to enable field health workers take patient data records accurately and in the same manner that they are taken in the hospitals. This application will sync data automatically with hospital main patient records systems to eliminate the burden of paper work and later transfer of the same data into electronic means.
The Applied ICT and Leadership Program is heavily invested in the success and growth of our students and alumni alike. The Health Data Harvester team, therefore continues to get the support of our faculty and any other help available in our networks.
Congratulations to this team of hardworking young people. They are why we do this!
